The imagist hint about a new girl with a bluechip cover must be Anna de Rijk the way she is speeding up the charts

If they even count that, I bet it's a very small aspect of what they judge.
On a scale from 1 to 10, the importance of jobs can be cut down to this, if you'd ask me

Fragrance/Beauty/Contracts x10
Ads x7,5
Covers x5
Eds x2,5
Runway x0,5

So that leaves Siri with practically nothing going on for her....
That looks like a fair weighting system although fragrance/beauty contracts are usually only girl and usually run 12 months (and renewable) so I would weigh them at least double the fashion ads, which usually run for 6 months, are often multi-girl and sometimes faceless.
and I don't think MDC really has any set formula, if they do its determined more by brands and names than anything else. The funny thing though is that the higher the "profile" the brands are, the fewer the bucks the model gets! Models can and do get stuck with a high profile but no money.

It's not as if I'm calling Marissa a wh*re or something for wearing a bikini on a magazine cover. I'm just saying that she and many models like her base a lot of their careers on being sex objects. Compare the average person who buys VP to the average person who buys GQ and then what the sort of person who buys GQ would do with a half naked picture of Marissa on a beach....and then what the sort of person who buys VP would do with a fully naked picture of Lara.....:innocent:

This is probably really off topic though....

First of all, in order to be sexy you just have to be sexy, its that simple. Whats sexy and whats beautiful - depends on everyone, theres no one definition fitting all.

Second. MariSa. With one 's'.

Third. Yes I would be ANY magazine with Marisa one the cover just because she is amazing and a great model. So what ? Does that authomatically make me 'a worse person then the one buying vogue' ? Oh please.:rolleyes:

And finally, all this is saying someone who is a fan of Cat McNeil- who can be seen totally naked in latest Pirelli calendar. Hilarious. :innocent::lol:

So much ahem different reactions for just some models lists.

So where do models make money from then? I thought campaigns paid the most.

- Catalogs: Neimans, Bergdorfs, Saks, etc.

- Long term contracts: beauty/fragrance deals, longstanding campaign work with one client - think Natalia's deal with CK or Valentina with Ralph Lauren.

- Money jobs: If you see Magdelena in a Nine West ad, you better believe she got payed big bucks.

Just three examples, there are more.

^ Thanks. I knew long-term contracts were big money earners, but I didn't know catalogs were as important as they seem to be.

Moneywise yes, but 'statuswise' noone cares about catalogs. There are catalog models out there that earn more money than half of the Top 50 combined.

Speaking about fragrance deals and longterm contracts, Lara just nagged herself a Versace fragrance campaign. If Raquel decides to take a slower pace in the editorial circuit, Lara has to be the next number one.

^ Ugggghh
Well if Sasha's chances on becoming the next #1 are slim (which they are...), team POLY all the way.

Lara and Baptiste being number 1 is a clear sign of decadence, like Miley Cyrus being more than an anonymous schoolgirl.

No please not Lara for the top spot... Anja and Sasha themselves have fragrance campaigns and were visible in editorials longer than Lara... Oh no please....

True, but none of them had issues of VP and W dedicated to them. Their names planted on the covers of Vogue UK, Love and Vogue US (yes Sasha did I know) 3 other VP covers, two VI covers....Ads for Vuitton, Givenchy, Jil Sander, Ck, Calvin Klein Beauty....should I go on? Plus, she seems to be worshipped by everyone in the industry.

She wins for sure...if anyone else were to replace Raquel, it would be Natasha. But much like Sasha, I see her as an etarnal number 2. Anja only started to appear on covers last year so she doesn't stand a chance against Lara, Natasha or Sasha.

↑ Whew, as long as Lara doesn't clinch the spot I'll be OK I guess. But if she does, well my opinion won't count then eh?

I think it will be Lara too, there's just too much hype around her right now. As for Natasha, I think it would be more respectable if in a year or two they moved her to the Icons list. She's been around since like 2003, so her Stam and Maria Carla will probably become Icons if they never become number 1.

I won't be shocked if Lara is number 1, but this is why I am not crazy about the notion. I know that Lara has been modeling for several years, but there is something that is faddish / flavor of the month about Lara a la Agyness Deyn or even celebs / fashionistas like Rihanna and Daphne Guinness.

Is there a list with the most successful catalog models at the moment? I'm curious which girls are working a lot.

Yeah. It's like overexposure. She's everywhere. I don't mind Lara too much but hopefully, it doesn't turn too much into a fad. Where she's here right now, then gone the second you blink your eyes. It kinda happened to Agyness if you think about it.
