Gisele is now #1 in Money Girls, and it's right, she is also #1 in icons list but don't you guys thinks Kate Moss is more iconic than Gisele? Of course Gisele is huge name in the industry but not more than Moss.

I really agree on this one, But I don't think a No.1 spot will ever be shared
This happened in the time with Liya and Natalia that made me so angry before

Lara has cemented herself in the Industry even will less Campaign.
but a CK exclusive and maybe some covers, eds and Freja has done a Lot but she hasnt achieved Lara's Stardom yet. so Lara deserves No.1 Spot.
I am only mad about Sasha's placement. Sasha always gets a lot of campaigns every season and they keep bringing her down every year.

i agree with you on the sasha part. damn, this girl got almost the no. 1 spot against zimmermann! one word: BIAS! i guess, sasha will follow MCB's footsteps on the ranking (though MCB's highest ranking to date was only #4, WTH, right? then she skip it and made it through the icon list but only at the twentieth spot )

I agree that Sasha should've been #1 at that one time and not Raquel. Although we'd be splitting hair here, I thought Sasha was the more deserving choice and I was quite surprised when it was Raquel who took the spot. Not that Raquel was especially undeserving, but just sucks that Sasha never got that place when she really deserved it too.

As with Freja. It seems like she'd be the most logical guess to take the spot from Lara, given her ENORMOUS presence in fashion. Just this season alone she got three MAJOR MAJOR campaigns, Chanel, Valentino and LV. Plus she's always in VI now that Meisel is back on her ****. But at the same time, unlike most number ones before and even Lara, Freja doesn't really have that mainstream appeal or notoriety.

totally agree with u,when raquel became the #1 she had done much more,n sasha only had PRADA.not bad,but not enough to take the spot from Raquel.
n when raquel got the #1 spot she still did a lot more work.

totally agree with you. when Raquel became the #1 spot she had done many more then sasha had.at that point the major job that sasha had were the PRADA campaigns not bad,but not enought to win over raquel.
the 2 years that raquel was in the #1 spot she was the model with more work then any other model in the list.

Nobody knows Freja, I asked my friends if they know who Lara stone is, and in U.K. she has three fragrance ads running on T.V., is always in U.K. Vogue and is married to David Walliams, so people know who she is. They have started recognizing her in ads. Unless Freja starts dating Rosie O'Donnel or becomes Freja Beha Degeneres, she's never going to be as famous as Lara, Kate or Gisele. Also, Marcel the fact that Lara has gap teeth and huge boobs isn't the only difference, it's THE difference, nobody wants Freja to take her top off

^True but it is a working models Icon List, and Natalia, Karen, Gisele and friends are still bagging major campaigns. Karen did Louis Vuitton recently and Natalia is still all over the place and no one can compete with Daria. Can't remember Naomi's last campaign apart from Pinko and Dsquared and her d&g perfume campaign, which all came out 3-4 seasons ago...although I agree her legacy is astounding.

I agree, people are getting a little worked up, and yes results are flawed (esp. Miranda) but at least the #1 is going to the correct girl, IMO B) Though of course that's up for debate.

The reason Joan is up there is because of hype. Yes she is overhyped, and hasn't yet shown all the results for her hype, but having hype is a pretty important thing. I think she's going to end up being HUGE, she just isn't yet. I don't think she should be that high yet, maybe switch places with Karmen

Also, Saskia de Brauw should have Hailey Clauson's place. And Karolina should be added to the list, she's been working for a long time, and she's not quite an icon. I think she could easily take Eliza Cummings' place.

Again... Karolina has already been in the Icons List in the past. You can check it on archive.org... If she returns to any list, she'd return to Icons List. A very ....hmm, "peculiar" list btw, because I'd say there are a few models ranked there who doesn't have a iconic status imo.... *cough* Isabeli *cough*

what so disgraceful about having these girls in front of naomi? they score tonnes of ads, magazine covers, eds. what does naomi get in the last few years?

u should count the amount of campaigns, eds, and cover that daria got in the last 2 years compared to naomi's. and best of all, daria got lancome. and that contract is HUGE. im sure she makes at least 2 mils a year just for that contract alone. that would be equal to 10 blue chips campaigns combined.

I think she IS iconic considering the context in which she's working. Shes never going to be a huge and "iconic" as Naomi or Cindy or Christy because that time of the "supermodel" has passed. Its all about actresses now, they score the covers, they release the perfumes etcetc. Unless your working as a VS model, then your not really in the public eye because of how exclusive the fashion industry has become, and even then, that doesnt result in an iconic status.
