^When I saw this in one of the bookstores I frequently visit, I gotta admit that it looks, somehow, beautiful. But what bothers me about it is that it looks overly photoshopped. But I'm glad Divine Lee & Rissa Mananquil are on the cover.

the philipines struggles with broadcasting women of darker complexion, as we do in fashion. notice how every filipina on the cover is of fair complexion- filipinos are usually dark.

i think some of the filipinas are probably of a more darker complexion, but maybe were photoshopped, or the lighting, or maybe cosmetic whitening by the girls themselves. Definitely a cultural issue.

all that aside, i really love the cover. i wish that darker complected women were featured in the phillipines, but in contrast, im glad to see them doing such glamorous things. thanks to whoever started this thread. as a filipino, i hope to see more threads in the future.

^ I agree. In the Philippines, you are considered "more" beautiful if you have a lighter complexion. Sad but true.

If you see these girls in person, they're skin is very red from overly bleaching it, and they try to cover it up with massive amounts of makeup.

They look more Chinese or Japanese than FIlipino.

Too photoshopped. I took a glance at the mag's "Behind the Lens" section and the cover looked far too different than the behind the scenes shots.
