Jeremy Meeks was last year’s modeling web sensation. Good looks, buff body; the only difference from the rest of the boys backstage was his criminal record and the fact his big break came about after his police mugshot went viral. This year, 20-year-old Mekhi Alante Lucky looks to be the latest male model to reach prominence after arrest. And his captivating odd-colored eyes only raise his bad boy quotient.

Nicknamed ‘Prison Bae’ on the social networks,
Mekhi Alante Lucky from North Carolina, recently signed with St. Claire Modeling. At 20 years-old, the 1m77 tall model has spent time behind bars and was arrested five times between April and December 2016 for speeding in a stolen car. His mugshot went online, he was spotted and signed, and now has several editorial shoots under his belt. Just like ‘hot felon’
Jeremy Meeks, he has walked for
Phillip Plein, and also appeared on the runway for Helmut Lang printemps-été 2018 in September. His distinctive odd-colored eyes, one blue, one brown, are perhaps more of an advantage in his modelling career than for his police record. We say: a face to follow.
