I'm sorry to say this because I used to like her a lot and I don't know if any other french people here feel the same but she became very annoying she's over the top now and there is a not-so-humble vibe about her.

I think a lot will agree..she's been bashed quite a lot in France these past few days. From what I've heard her album didn't get great reviews and her latest film is rather crappy. On top of it, if you add the slightly annoying vibe you're talking about, well...

She can really thank Tarantino for all this..I mean if someone had told me 3 years ago that she'd be the host at Cannes, I would've been like

Face and hair are beautiful, and the dress isnt terrible from about the waist up but the rest of it is way off very costume-y, suprised she would pick this gown to wear.
