Melissa Auf der Maur

I'm going to go ahead and bump this, because in case you missed it, Melissa is quite back with a new EP already out and a new solo album pending.

The EP is called '...This Would Be Paradise', and can be listened to (and bought if you'd like) here: http://app.topspin.net/artist/241254/home?account_id=241254
She's started her own label and is releasing everything herself these days. I was able to see her in concert last November and the new material is great. The full cd is set for a spring release, can't wait!

Aside from that, she still looks amazing. I don't think she'll ever age.

i always liked her in hole and smashing pumpkins. she and d'arcy were always the best female bassists. i really believe it was SHE who influenced courtney in her transistion from grunge to stylish. melissa was so cool before that period and has been a long-time friend of olivier theyskens and was his first 'celeb' client...before rochas...before nina ricci and even before madonna.

Melissa is a goddess. i can't believe she only has three pages devoted to her! :ninja:
my contribution: a rock-star worthy style article from the now defunct Mademoiselle:cry:

Love her and her music. Unfortunately I've seen her live only once (solo), but it was a great performance.

never knew about that Theyskens tidbit, very interesting. but she's always been a well balanced act of chic rock, no pun intended

anyhow, bumping this thread since Father's Grave suddenly played from the bowels of my iTunes, i've forgotten how much i loved this song when i first heard Out Of Our Minds. this might just be the best track in that album, what a gorgeous duet with Glenn Danzig, they compliment each others voice so nicely. i can't get enough of this doomfilled track -_-
