Not fond of metallics in menswear, I still prefer them in womens' ;)

seems like metallic is not going to go so easily

i like metallic on clothes...but it's one of those hard trends to pull off.
none the less..i still see this metallic trend as something rocknroll designers call pull off better.

i just realize...the gucci collection looks like it's targeted at korean guys. that look up there looks like something a korean movie star would wear.

I really hope metallics are going to die. They feel so overdone already, and they started in F/W 06/07. I think we've played with them enough now. They all look kind of cheap.

I agree its not easy to pull of at all for men or women. But i think I can imagine the shirts, t shirts and pants being more wearable than a trench.. Although having said that i think .00000000001 of the population should attempt the look!

maybe if it was used only as accents, it would look really good
but these ones in more earthy colours like the ochre and brown look nice metallic, i think

true! A copper actually looks a lot better than a shiny gold, but you know what i think there is always an exception to the rule.

^^ Whoa, that jacket!

I don't really like Metallics in menswear either. I prefer something darker.

yeah and these CK^ silver ones look quite good i must say :)
i wore one myself already but not as shiny--it looks very clean

I've always loved metallics on men
.. the problem with.. menswear trends in general, is that they tend to be overdone by some designers, especially the ones in Milan, and then worn by the men who follow them and wear everything literally (and look like pimps!).. I think it's great when done discreetly.. and toned down with black, white and just some heavy material that's nicely tailored to keep the 'attention' balance.. like the way Costume National did it (first look with the black suit) and the way Hedi Slimane and Ann Demeulemeester have done it in the past.

I love this.

I wish not a lot of people here in Miami wore those silver track suits for jogging, because if I decide to wear something like this, that's what its gonna look like in my head

im really not into the metallics for men...
there are only a few that could pull it off...

^alejandro,
i'm so sure if you wore metallic you wouldn't look like a jogger...cause you'd know how to ROCK it!!! :mohawk:

Hum ... I thought I didnt like metallics on men til I saw the Calvin ones ... yumm!

This all seems to have a very Derek Zoolander look to me. I'll pass.
