Pictured: Heath Ledger's ex fiancée Michelle Williams with new love Spike Jonze

Michelle Williams has found love again with director Spike Jonze seven months after the tragic death of her former fiancé Heath Ledger.
The pair boarded a private jet bound for Oregon yesterday along with the Brokeback Mountain actress's two-year-old daughter Matilda.
The trio were seen strolling together outside the airport, Williams at one point breaking into a broad smile.

New love: Michelle Williams with director Spike Jonze and her daughter Matilda headed off to Oregon yesterday

Williams and Jonze, who previously dated Drew Barrymore, first met in 2006 when she auditioned for his film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak children's book Where The Wild Things Are.
She was offered a part, but later withdrew from the film.
But last year, the pair finally worked together on Synecdoche, New York in summer 2007 and struck up a friendship.
During their time on the movie - which Jonze produced - Williams was still dating Ledger.
A source told Mail Online: 'For the first time in two years, Michelle and Spike are both single, and because of the friendship they first developed in 2006, they have come together.

Heartbroken: The actress was left devastated after the death of her former fiancé Heath Ledger

'Having been friends first, they totally got to know each other first, without romance getting in the way, and Spike has been very supportive during this most difficult time for Michelle.'
Williams was left devastated after Ledger died of an accidental drug overdose in January, and the source says she could not bring herself to consider a new romance.
She said at the time: 'My heart is broken. All that I can cling to is his presence inside [Matilda] that reveals itself every day.'
But her friendship with Jonze has steadily blossomed into romance in recent weeks.
The source continued: 'Matilda means the world to Michelle, who is now left alone to raise her daughter. And Spike, who has no children of his own, has been very good to both Michelle and Matilda.
'Spike had a gentle way of just being there for Michelle. There was no pressure for her to spend time with him – he just wanted to be a loving, supportive shoulder for Michelle to cry on.
'And his patience and kindness caused Michelle to look at him in a different light. Now the two are spending more time together, and their one-time friendship has developed into more.
'Michelle loves Spike's quirky sense of humour and his brilliant talent. And he adores her soft, feminine demeanour, and he is in awe of the way she parents her daughter.
'This could certainly prove to be the right match for them both.'

One thing I'm curious about. Is she a vegan? I feel like I don't see her wearing leather/animal products.

I know I've seen her with a Mayle leather bag so I'm not sure on that one :)

Here’s a sneak peek at the new Band of Outsiders look book images featuring Michelle Williams. Calling Williams a “‘Boy’ girl, for sure,” Band of Outsiders‘ founder John Sternberg recently shot the actress wearing the Boy line. Perfect. The set up for the shoot is that Michelle is snooping through someone else…in really cute clothes. If you live in LA, the Band of Outsiders “shop-in-shop” will be debuting in Opening Ceremony Aug. 15.

FIRST LOOK: Most fashion brands must hire models for their look books, but not Band of Outsiders’ Scott Sternberg.

The designer simply calls upon his ever-growing group of celebrity fans, who pose for free in atmospheric snapshots that he takes himself with a Seventies-era Polaroid camera.

This season, Sternberg tapped Michelle Williams, who follows in the footsteps of prior actors-turned-models Jason Schwartzman, John Dewis and Matt Dallas, and musician Bobby Birdman. “Michelle is a ‘Boy’ girl, for sure,” joked Sternberg, who shot the actress on Thursday in Los Angeles modeling his Boy by Band of Outsiders line.

“It’s a very informal thing,” he explained, speaking by phone from Los Angeles. “It’s just us goofing off and having fun. There isn’t hair and makeup, there are no lights or anything. We were just laughing and talking all day. They are not supposed to be self-important and serious [shots]. It’s the antithesis of all that.”

In keeping with that approach, Sternberg shot a mere seven looks, only two of which were in the original fall runway show. “We want to show how someone might actually wear the clothes,” he said. “It’s less of a stylized thing,” though his regular stylist, Tina Chai, was on hand to help with the three-and-a-half-hour session at interior designer Paul Fortune’s Laurel Canyon house.

“It’s basically Michelle snooping in a stranger’s house, that’s the narrative,” he explained of the photos, which show her peeking at Fortune’s belongings.

The pair, who met last year at a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event at Anna Wintour’s house, initially had a completely different idea — to shoot outdoors along the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu, portraying Williams as a young actress looking for her first Hollywood apartment. But that concept got nixed due to the starlet’s current tabloid fame. “I realized she is a paparazzi target,” said the designer.

And likewise, come fall, Sternberg won’t be doing the usual catwalk affair, instead opting to shoot a film with two or three celebrity friends. “I’m doing a totally alternative thing because I can’t bring myself to do a runway show,” he said. “I don’t make runway clothes. These are clothes you wear on the street, so I’m just super-uncomfortable with it. It puts it in totally the wrong context — I want to do something closer to where the clothes are, and let people actually touch and feel them as opposed to seeing them on a 14-year-old anorexic model.”

And for any fans who can’t wait that long for a fix, Sternberg will be opening a shop-in-shop on Aug. 15 in the Los Angeles branch of Opening Ceremony.

I like how natural and authentic these pictures are. No airbrushing. Just straight to the point.
