“If the music paid well, I would just be doing that,” Miles Frank tells Style.com. “Actually, I love it so much I would love to be only working on my music if it was feasible, even if it were for less than minimum wage.”

Luckily, the model-slash-musician can pay the bills with his striking good looks. This week, the Seattle native is in New York for fashion week (he modeled for Richard Chai and Timo Weiland, to name a few). “The fashion industry is kind of weird,” he says. “I never know what to expect with it, so that’s exciting, but I am not really into fashion.” Although, he admits, he does enjoy a good pair of skinny jeans and a nice plaid shirt. The main reason he is in New York? His Root Management-hosted rock show at The Box tonight with his band, Shotty.

Frank (drums) and his band mates, Pat Moon (vocals/guitar) and Nat Entrekin (bass guitar), released their first full-length album, Superfan, in early 2011 and have toured the West Coast, playing at venues such as the Viper Room and Whisky A Go Go. Tonight, they make their New York debut. So, is Frank nervous? Not in the least. “Being on stage and performing is my favorite place to be—I get a lot more stage fright doing runway shows.”
