^ I see what you mean, but it's really lovely on closer inspection. The photo quality of some of the photos of her at the event seems to kinda tone down the color of the dress to a boring pale, hue-like lavender color, but it's actually quite striking when you see it in the original silver. The fabric is really beautiful, too, but you can't really see it that well until you look at the HQs. Definitely one of Milla's safer choices, but still pretty amazing.
I don't usually like it when a (light-color) dress is ruched as if it wraps diagonally around the body, because it often makes perfectly normal-sized people look chunky around the waist and thighs, but Milla pulls it off. The whole look was really appropriate for the occasion and to me, she was definitely one of the best dressed of the evening. And I for one am so happy and relieved she wore this instead of an Emilio Pucci maxi or something. I know she loves Pucci, but I don't. B)
She did a great job presenting, too. The spontaneous reactions were great, and she both sounded and (after the first moments) looked relaxed, prepared and confident.
