The reality star, 28, posed alongside her sunglasses entrepreneur husband, 32, underneath a wisteria-laden archway. The couple tied the knot surrounded by family and friends at Whithurst Park in West Sussex on June 22, 2018. The bride wore a bespoke Kate Halfpenny wedding dress with detachable sleeves and a full veil. The couple dated in 2011 while on Made In Chelsea, but split up when it emerged he had cheated on Millie with her friend Rosie Fortescue. They reunited in the second half of 2016 and Taylor proposed during a holiday in Mykonos, Greece, in July last year. The heiress was previously married to musician Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, in September 2013. The former couple announced their split in February 2016 after two-and-a-half years of marriage. They finalised their divorce in May 2016 - the same week that Millie went public with Hugo during a trip to Monaco.
In a world exclusive, Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor have invited HELLO! magazine inside their lavish wedding. The former Made in Chelsea stars tied the knot at Whithurst Park in West Sussex, which is owned by Hugo’s uncle Richard. "The whole day has felt like an out-of-body experience," Millie told HELLO! in an exclusive interview. "Even in my wildest dreams I didn’t imagine it would be this perfect. I am so excited to finally be married to Hugo – he’s the love of my life." "It’s been everything we dreamed of times a thousand," Hugo added. "I’ve never been happier."
Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor had a real rock'n'roll moment as they celebrated their marriage last week. A new exclusive photo released by HELLO! shows the bride and groom walking down the aisle, with a thrilled Millie punching the air. The stars, who met 12 years ago, tied the knot in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.
The couple were legally married three days before at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in London, attended only by close family. The religious blessing – a big English country-themed extravaganza – followed at Whithurst Park, an estate belonging to Hugo's uncle Richard Taylor.
Fashion model Millie looked stunning in a bespoke Kate Halfpenny dress with detachable 'double bubble' sleeves. She accessorised with a dramatic veil and headpiece and a simple white peony bouquet. Millie's dad Nigel had tears in his eyes as the bride took a steadying intake of breath at the top of the aisle. Hugo and Millie were overcome with emotion, holding hands as the ceremony began with the hymn, I Vow to Thee, My Country.
After the blessing, guests headed over to the walled garden to enjoy cocktails and canapés. They were then led to the other side of the house to the stunning marquee that had been dressed with green foliage and pink-hued flowers. Guests sat down at long wooden tables named after nightclubs the bride and groom frequent; Millie and Hugo were on the Boujis table, in a nod to where they first met.
During the dinner, the groom stood to pay a beautiful tribute to his beaming bride. "To the most important person in the room – my angel, mi vida (my life)," he said. "You have honesty, compassion and a love for family that has swept me off my feet. I couldn't be more blessed or honoured to be joining something so true and honest and I love you for it so much.
"You have an electrifying beauty and you make my heart sing every single day. To comprehend how much I love you would be to visualise the size of the universe, simultaneously limitless in size and ever expanding. You've caused a transformation in my soul and I will love you forever."
"The whole day has felt like an out-of-body experience," Millie told HELLO! in an exclusive interview. "Even in my wildest dreams I didn't imagine it would be this perfect. I am so excited to finally be married to Hugo – he's the love of my life." "It's been everything we dreamed of times a thousand," Hugo added. "I've never been happier."
Stars including Spencer Matthews – Hugo’s best man – and his pregnant wife Vogue Williams attended the nuptials, as well as Jodie Kidd, Poppy Delevingne, former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, model Zara Martin and Made in Chelsea stars Rosie Fortescue, Jamie Laing and Oliver Proudlock. The ceremony itself was a religious blessing as the couple had married three days previously in an official service at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London, attended only by close family. But their big day in West Sussex was a more traditional affair, with the bride wearing a stunning bespoke Kate Halfpenny dress with detachable ‘double bubble’ sleeves. Aside from an assortment of bridesmaids and pageboys, Millie was also accompanied up the aisle by her family pug Mabel. "It wouldn’t be right to get married without Mabel," smiled Millie. "She’s one of the family."
The couple were first friends before dating in 2011 while appearing on Made in Chelsea. But they split up before reconciling in 2016. "I knew she was The One within about five minutes of us getting back together," Hugo told HELLO! in a world exclusive. Adds Millie: "But if we’d stayed together when we were younger, we wouldn’t be together now. We had to go away, do our separate things and grow as people. We needed that time apart."
Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor pulled out all the stops to ensure every aspect of their wedding day was perfect, right down to the details. The couple, who married in a romantic ceremony covered exclusively by HELLO!, added thoughtful touches to everything from the menu to the place settings to create a wedding day that fully reflected them and their relationship.
Following the ceremony, guests tucked into mouth-watering canapés by Rose Lloyd Owen for Peardrop London – which catered the whole wedding – including tuna poke wontons with grapefruit and avocado and spicy pulled pork doughnuts with sour cream. Meanwhile, the drinks reception included sparkling and white wines from the Môreson Wine Farm estate in South Africa, provided by Museum Wines, Aperol Spritz and Mirabeau rosé wine from Provence.
As guests entered the stunning Joseph Benjamin marquee for the sit-down meal they were greeted by long wooden tables that were named after the nightclubs they frequent, with the bride and groom taking their seats at the Boujis table – a sweet nod to where they first met 12 years ago.
The marquee was styled to perfection, with pink and red peonies, gold-accented glassware, napkin rings and plates adorning the tables. Each setting was finished with a miniature bottle of Black Cow vodka that had an Alice in Wonderland-style label that read: "Drink Me."
Millie and Hugo's menu was just as carefully planned. Guests tucked into breads and flavoured butters served with buttermilk fried chicken, plus vegan and gluten-free beetroot ketchup, hot BBQ sauce, truffle mac and cheese and asparagus and mixed leaf salad. And they shied away from tradition, swapping a wedding cake for a macaroon tower from Ladurée flavoured with vanilla, raspberry, pistachio, and geranium and rose.
Following the speeches the celebrations got well and truly underway as the curtain behind the dessert table was lifted to reveal a lavish nightclub, complete with a stage flanked by two lit palms from Twilight Trees. Twinkling lights and a giant glitter ball hung above the black-and-white chequered dancefloor, while furniture and bars by Greathire lined the room.
Guests including Spencer Matthews and Jodie Kidd partied up a storm with their cocktails made from gin, Dassai Super Premium Sake and Black Cow Vodka, while listening to a selection of Millie and Hugo's favourite songs, played by Mode Showband, organised by Marble Music.
"Even in my wildest dreams I didn't imagine it would be this perfect," Millie told HELLO! of their wedding day, while Hugo agreed: ""It's been everything we dreamt of times a thousand. I've never been happier."
Millie on Instagram, "It was such a dream to have a completely unique bespoke dress made. The whole journey working with Kate was so much fun. I never wanted to take the dress off after fittings! The details and the style just evolved creatively. I’m so in love with the double bubble sleeves. They’re light puffs of silk organza with a fine spotty tulle over the top and little tiny lace flowers hand appliquéd on. Thanking you darling @halfpennylondon and your fabulous team for making my vision come to life! Full feature out now in @hellomaguk"
