THE guest of honour is glamorous enough, but a battle over the beautiful people on the guest list at tonight's VIP party for covergirl Miranda Kerr turned into an ugly tug-of-war yesterday.
A last-minute call-out to confirm celebrity talent at the Cleo magazine cocktail party, where the Victoria's Secret hottie will be special guest, sparked a catfight between Kerr's agency and rival models, including Charlotte Dawson.

Foxtel insiders claim the network was approached by ACP party planners earlier this week to send along their stars to the hot ticket event at Hugo's tonight.

But after Dawson and her Runway to LA underling Jordan Loukas were initially invited to attend the stylish soiree, were refused entry on the grounds they would draw focus from Kerr.

While Kerr's agency, Chic Model Management, told Confidential it was not aware of the decision to deny Dawson and Loukas access, sources confirmed the directive had come from her camp.

"They don't wish for other models to be at the event, but are more than happy to have any other celebrities along. Miranda's the covergirl and they want her to get the attention,'' a party source said yesterday.

There's certainly no love lost between Foxtel and Chic since former clotheshorse Erica Heynatz jumped ship from the hosting role of Australia's Next Top Model and joined Channel 7's It Takes Two as a contestant two years ago.

While the celebrity karaoke contest proved the platform Heynatz was looking for to launch a music career, it hit a wrong note with Foxtel bosses who were left smarting over the switch
