Miriam Anderson as Kelsey
Miriam Anderson first came under the camera's eye as a model shooting with Helmut Newton at the age of 14 and hasn't looked back. With a career that her character Kelsey would die for Miriam has shot with the most established photographers in the world.
Growing up in the Middle East where her father taught at universities in Jordon and Alexandria, her early years were anything but ordinary. Visiting North African scenic and historical sites will never take the place of learning to skate at an early age. As a result her sense of reality incorporates a unique subjective edge. Bitten by the acting bug in high school Miriam found her true passion.
Spending her teenage years in rural Langley BC, one of her favorite pastimes was to walk into local businesses in character. Pestering the proprietors with exotic accents, and creatively constructed visions of how she thought a variety of eccentrics would appear. Narrowly avoiding being run out of town when a gas station attendant called the police after thinking he was about to be scammed by a Texan Trustafarian, Miriam put aside frivolity replacing it with a profound respect for the craft of acting. Studying at Simon Fraser University, and with a few select teachers including Andrew McElroy, and Susan Batson. While in New York in the fall of 06 she returned to Black Nexxus to study with Susan Batson, enjoying the intensity of the city and demands of one of the professions top coaches. Walking home from class late one evening she was struck with an epiphany, and in the words of Joyce "'Remember your epiphanies on green oval leaves, deeply deep, copies to be sent if you died to all the great libraries of the world, including Alexandria?"
