Mirte Maas hails from a quiet town in southern Holland, so we'll forgive the Alexander Wang opener for looking, well, terrified as she took to the designer's cement runway for her debut. When it came time to take first-exit honors at Yves Saint Laurent, though, her perfected stride and icy stare looked just right.

She seems like a bit of a geek to me, I don't know why. So precious. Actually reminds me a bit of Hanne Gaby because of the way she talks (voice etc.).

Vogue caught up with the Dutch model just after New York Fashion Week, where she walked for Alexander Wang, Anna Sui, Calvin Klein, Rodarte, Donna Karan, and Proenza Schouler. “At home I do a lot of cooking with my family,” says Mirte, “but here I’m always so busy, and there are so many great places to eat, and everyone delivers. Plus, I love going out with friends. This city is amazing!”
