"Mischa Barton Hates Being Beautiful"

It's all good, she's too typecast as the wooden Marissa Cooper already... so as soon as the OC ends (or she gets her marching orders from it) she won't have to worry about being pretty and being in the public eye anymore :innocent:

So true!!! She is not as big as she thinks she is

I totally feel where she is coming from. It really is a burden being beautiful. Look at my avitar, I of all people would know.

I saw this picture in an older Teen People, and their skin was edited to look the same. Not pale or orange or milky...just normal. Lindsay looks like a french fry.

ugh.... she needs to grow up and get over her "success". She isnt the star of the O.C...I prefer Rachel Bilson! :)

She is the star of the OC. It doesn't matter what one person prefers, its the mass of people who give her the attention.

Shes NO star to me! Its comments like that that make people dislike her... not because shes "too pretty" puh-LEASE!

i think it's pretty sad she is trying so hard to cover her freckels and naturally pale skin. darn.

Mischa = vag in spanish :-D did anyone else notice that? lol. and its a male name, so anyone thinking shes russian is wrong. SHES BRITISH. She was born in London, her whole family comes from there and lived there and the only reason she has a Russian name is because her parents thought it was 'cool'. If they were russian, they wouldnt name her a boys name. its like naming an american boy melissa. obviously no american would name them that... so remember, she is BRITISH!

Anyways, shes 18 and Brandon (her bf) isn't THAT much older

My stepmom was watching Fox tonight, and an ad for The OC came on. I hadn't seen an ad for it in about a year since I never watch network TV anymore, but I remembered how every single ad showed someone about to get in a fistfight, and I always thought that was just so ridiculously stupid. And lo and behold, tonight's ad was someone about to get in a fist fight. Is every episode the exact same thing or what?!?

What really annoys me is how the begining of each episode is how Seth seems to be talking about something completely pointless in that voice he has

Duh, what a stupid complain if you ask me. You surely can't please everybody and maybe she should look into the mirror and think why people might actually dislike her. At least according to those comments it seems she's way too full of herself.

Wha's so amazing about this chick? She looks like practically every other girl on TV. Generically pretty, slim, straight, neutral-color hair, regular features.

agreed- and she always reminds me of her funny outfit..
dress with trainers... nice huh? :p

That's a really good point. I hope others take this into consideration more than just the title of the gossip.

Chances are they won't.

Thanks! :flower: I'll say it again

The above is the only direct quote in the article about how she 'hates being beautiful'. The rest is just conjecture about what she might have meant

^Even just reading her actual text it comes off as fairly arrogant.

Conjecture:
The 'OC' beauty has confessed she can't stand the fact people judge her solely on the fact she has a pretty face and slim body - and feels she would be more liked if she had more flaws.

The 16-year-old star also says just because, looks-wise she fits the Hollywood stereotype, she has a life wracked with problems.

Direct quotes:
"It kind of irritates me that I'm seen as this pretty face.

People also say I'm too thin. The truth is, pretty people aren't as accepted as other people. It comes with all these stigmas. It's like, 'She's pretty and thin, so she's got to have problems.

She must be anorexic or depressed or bitchy'.

"It doesn't help that my OC character is the pretty girl next door who looks like she has everything, but is totally f**ked up."
