MISFITS - new drama on E4

EDIT: A fourth season has been confirmed but the actors who play the characters (in white so not to spoil the finale for anyone...) Simon and Alisha have announced that they will not be returning for the next series.

although i also really like the last two remaining original castmembers i'm not sure whether i'll bother to watch next season, i'll probably give it a try, but i didn't enjoy a single episode this season and now with my two faves gone i guess it's just not worth it.

Iwan much like Robbie has an increasing list of work outside of the show. He's still really into his music, he's been doing a lot of theatre and picking up film roles so I'm not surprised he chose to leave.

Good for them for leaving the show! this season´s been rubbish! it was all over the place, had no purpose or real story imo. I haven´t watched the season finale but I don´t think it will redeem the season...

back to community service? no Nathan but a character who´s basically the same?

ugh, so true, many people said that every ep felt like a filler and it's so true. i gotta say that the finale rounded things up, it would've been perfect as a finale-finale tbh (i feel like they even planned it to be just that), don't know what's gonna happen now.

This season definitely wasn't as "structured" as the previous ones. It didn't feel like any of the characters actually developed in any way.

It's true that this season wasn't very structured, the plot was a bit all over the place, but I won't say it was rubbish. I personally enjoyed it.
I just watched the last episode, but I think I might need help because I don't think I understood everything.:huh:

It's true that the series lacked focus and a strong through storyline but individually they weren't bad episodes. The Hitler one was great as was the zombie one and the finale, even until the big moment, was well done. It was nice to see Jessica Brown Findlay again doing a very different role to Sybil. And actually what was nice this series was that there hasn't been some looming baddy waiting to reveal them or catch them for murdering someone. I have missed Robbie though...'save me Barry!'

Individually, the episodes were great, especially in the earlier part of the season.
But as a whole, this season was so scatter-brained when compared to the previous seasons.

The Simon and Alicia storyline is SO confusing. Why would he go back in time to "save" her so that she can just die at a later date?!

^ Time travel is always tricky but the way I understand it is that when Alisha died he realised that everything that happened 1 & 2 with superhoodie etc. had to go that way - it was his destiny in a very comic book sort of way. Technically he could have gone back to the zombie episode when Seth put Curtis' time travel power in iggy and used that to go forward and back quite happily.... but if he didn't go back in time then Alisha and the rest of them would have died in the episode where superhoodie Simon dies. I thought they handled time travel better than most tv shows/films do but there are always going to be flaws in the plotline.

I personally enjoyed this series every bit as much as the last 2. I thought Joe Gilgun's character was better than Nathan (deeper, more developed) and the zombie and nazi episodes were gold. I really did get the feeling however that they wanted you to think they were going to kill off Seth, so the Alisha thing came as a surprise... they were right!

^Totally agree about Rudy. He's hands down my favourite in the crowd, 20 minutes into hte first episode I was like Nathan who? :D

I just started watching this series. I just finished the first season and I'm moving on to the second season. Its such a good show. I'm interested to see how the episodes progress and all the cast changes too.

The music in the show is fantastic. Its a great surprised hearing some songs that are not normally on tv shows

The finale made me want to watch the masked Simon´s arc again, it was season 2 wasn´t it?

I can't wait for Misfits to come back already. I really enjoyed this season, even though I think it's the weakest of the three. I don't know, something lacked, It felt as if they hardly used any of their powers. But I love the new character, Joseph Gilgun is terrific, as usual. So I have great expecations for season 4.

Ok, people.

Season 4 is back on UK screens on 28th November 2012.

Kelly isn't coming back... I don't know if they're going to do a minisode where she leaves like they did with Nathan.
Seth (Matthew McNulty) has been promoted to regular cast and there will be two new additions to the main group as you can see in the trailer:

Maybe someone with better technical skills than me can embed it?

Matt Stokoe is joining in too <3

Thanks I can't wait! I still have to finish season 3. I'm kinda sad that Kelly isn't coming back. She started to become my favorite.

^ here you go :flower:

as a side note to embed: [ y t ] [ / y t ] use this code and put the numbers/letters after v= (this is in the url) in between. And take out the spaces in the code.

:o It's only Curtis left. Can't imagine this serie without Kelly, it was worth it to watch cause of her and Nathan.
Anyway, can't wait for the new season. We'll see what's gonna happen.
Thanks for sharing glitterpeacock ;)
