Grunge be gone. Missoni loved the nineties for Fall, but they're throwing it back further for Resort, embracing a softer silhouette that evokes the 1920's. This season's girl is spending her vacation seaside, naturally enough, and apparently the ocean breeze was blowing strong in the design studio. The beach motif played out quite literally on a dramatic violet gown that had a sheer skirt loaded with conch shells, sequins, and puckered chiffon resembling coral reef. (The house's own Margherita Missoni said it was her favorite piece in the collection.) Another striking dress had a tie-dye effect and was trimmed with padded strips of braided silk. Other looks here were more straightforward. The signature space-dyed raschel knit technique showed up everywhere, but was coolest this time around on a pair of psychedelic trousers and paper bag-waisted walking shorts—both of which will blend seamlessly into the Missoni archives.

Wow, I'm already obsessed with this. One of the prettiest Missoni collections in a while. Completely adore the all-white looks and LOVE the use of purple and lavender. So gorgeous

Very impressed.. those shoes are fabulous and I'm loving her use of colour with some of the shorter dresses in particular. The trousers are really cool, too

I am totally in love with this collection! Colours and prints are wonderful:blush:

great collection! but the background (really pretty itselt) is quite distracting ..

First Missoni collection that I've liked since fall 09/10. They haven't gone overboard with things this season. Hopefully come the Spring Summer collection I can say the same thing.

I love this label! They just cant do anything wrong for me.

HOwever, in the above images, the background is a bit too overpowering...

This is one of these times when I'm more attracted by the background than the actual clothes, but most of this is quite lovely already, really. Could do without the footwear, though, Sara could stand there barefoot and it would be fine by me.

Oh Angela Missoni, you never disappoint me. It's eclectic and the styling is oh so 90s. I'm absolutely head over heels.
