Miu Miu Menswear F/W 2005-2006 Milan

I like the coats/jackets well enough. But that's it.

Those belts are so out of place, they are jumping and screaming, "look at me."

I think the coats really make this collection. The little grey suit is fantastic as well. I wouldnt say its as good as SS, but its pretty damn close.

Thanks for the pics!

I agree. I also find the belts too skinny or not heavy enough for the material used for the coats. It looks like they are cutting the models in half.

yes, i also like this one a lot...

as for the belts, sometimes they work, sometimes they just dont,
its a so-so styling to be honest, but i can see through that :p

if she would have used the hats from Prada here it would have looked so much better, these here look raggedy.
There is a lot here for me to like. I like the colours and the prints. the cardigans. The belts are just silly. I guess it's the best way to show off that division of the company and push buyers to pick them up. I think it worked marvelously in womens f/w 2003, it's old news for her.

After a conservative Prada with shiny suits, I see this as a college version of it. Sth for everyone.

The earth tone of colours is nice, the use of suede and velvet is cool. But I am not very excited tho. I don't think it is a strong collection. The gold neck chain is silly:-)

I loathe the belts! I am interested in the rest...color, texture etc. the ornamental belts placed "fashionably" on the waist -- WHY?

 the kicks. And my loops could use some of those belts.

Not my style at all...
The coats don't seem too out of the ordinary to me other than the belt detail, which i find to be a gimmick.

There's something overtly feminine with this collection--the idea of using skinny belts to define the models' waists...I don't really know what thats all about, perhaps the Prada take on androgeny. In any case, a lot of these pieces are going to look great pulled apart...though part of me would love to see someone getting lost in Soho in these looks...though if they were over, say, 19 years of age, I don't think it would work.

i have to agree with a couple of people who said that the jackets really made this collection...i think the prints on the shirts are dreadful...i don't see any redeeming qualilty to them...

the jackets and the coats and the suits are all good solid menswear though...and i presume that will be what they make money on... all in all...a very basic and wearable group of clothing...but nothing special...

but very bad styling imo...

Exactly my thoughts, after looking at some more pics. It's really nothing special, despite the styling. Same as Prada really.

^ Is there is a particular reason for Mui Mui always being better than Prada
