Model Casting F/W 17

Wonderful cast at Loewe! I am especially enamored by Isilda Moreira . Her debut there was semi-exclusive so I will be hoping/looking forward to seeing her in more shows before the season is over.

Such a wonderfully diverse show, Ashley had a little bit of everything from Black, Afro-Latina, Latina, North African, East and Southeast Asian, Indian, and Multiethnic! I loved it!

Dior's cast was terrible. If your actual collection is tedious, you need some real models to make your garments come alive. Dressed on tweeny newbie girls, the whole thing looked utterly pedestrian. Big fail.

Does anyone know if Julia Nobis and Mica Arganaraz are doing castings like the other models or they just call them to do the fittings?

Loewe was so on point!
Dior wasn't so good, too many young girls and not enough women. But they have improved a lot, at least they had more diversity than the last shows (Couture and RTW SS17)

Good question.. And they ditched her sister ? I don't think I saw May in the show

By the way Maria Grazia is clearly not into putting Bella Hadid in her shows haha since she took the house the girl didnt walk and I thought Bella's last Dior campaign would make her walk again for them

She wasnt there and I'm wondering what happened. She was a WWE last season and it's a campaign girl, what happened? I like her so much.

Plus, Maria needs to stop with this Ruth's obsession. You like the girl, we get it. But enough is enough.

And Bella not being there make sense since she doesnt fit Dior's new esthetic by any means.

Loved DVN so much, but for me Loewe has definitely been the most cohesive cast of the season, Ashley brought her AAA+ game.

What is the go with Alice Metza? I haven't seen her in anything. Flopped or her agency finally told her to take a season off?

^ Same with Molly Bair. I think I saw her only at Wang & Moschino.

I highly doubt that Nobis is doing castings. Can't imagine she is among those girls at the Balenciaga casting sitting in the dark for two hours. She is too big a star in the industry now.

Agree. Especially funny looking at it a couple of days after DVN - an entire collection with mature women; women who actually had lines on their face! The other designers should take a cue from that. I never used to see it but now that I am mid 20s I think it looks terrible dressing children up as adults.

Melissa Tammerijn at Haider Ackerman already made my weekend

Mugler was great.

I'm very surprised Sofia Mechetner's walked for Mugler and not Dior.

Yep Mugler was exceptional. Sit down and take note YSL.

She didn't travel to Europe. She did Wang and still has Brokaw's support based on the shows she did in NYC.

^I'm glad she's no longer walking. She has one of the worst walks ever. (I also hate her personality and don't get what's interesting in her, but that's another story).

Birgit, Camille and Lea Julian are really killing it:heart:

Liya at Cèline!!

I think we should make a petition to ban Lotta from walking in any show.
