You've totally missed the point of this thread. Maybe next time I'll post an introduction without any humour to avoid being insulted.

Nowhere did I mention beauty. Only that they are exceptional, i.e. abnormal. The thread is just here to showcase their exceptional nature (height, long limbs etc). There is nothing rude or self-loathing about that. Please don't assume tFS members have such low self-esteem (or love the olsens).

Well, I'm a small woman (not Olsen twin-small ... more Natalie Portman-small) but I don't take offense at this thread. It's all in fun.

That is only your perception of our intentions as sethii said. Since you chose to use my descriptive word, I'll reply as you have misunderstood my post.

I chose "outstanding" specifically, as in it's literal definition... to stand out from others... which models do, no? It is not a put down to average people but rather just an obvious observation.

Some of these photos make you realise how insanely tall models (esp in heels are)! I'd love to see a photo of Erin O'Connor in heels next to a "normal" person, as in heels she'll be like 6'4
Edit: Hang on I've just read that shes 5'11 not 6' like I thought she was, but shes still super tall!

I know that the masses of tfs members would be against my post.... that being said I did not miss the point of the thread, ( i know you would love that). Obviously models stand out from the crowd. That is why they are models! But to choose random people they are standing next to , in order to show " their long limbs" ( umm lol) is not right. These are mostly people that are back stage , who are trying to work. If you do not think they would be insulted, showing how normal they are and all then you are surely mistaken.

^ I'm working on the assumption that these are all just superficial things which dont matter. It's just fun to see the variety of human beings. You're taking it too seriously and reading far too much into it. I'm not saying that models are better than non-models. They are just different. That is a fact. Nobody should feel insulted to see a picture of themself with a model. That is not only pathetic but dehumanising to the models.

Also, just because I think a model is outstanding, like Taryn, doesn't mean I find them beautiful. Likewise, I won't post any pictures of my current fav model Sasha pivovarova because she is very beautiful but not physically exceptional like Hana etc.
