She has awful reviews for all of her films and most have flopped! So maybe she's planning on doing more modelling to keep her name out there?

This is what I thought initially when finding out IMG signed her. At first I was sure she didn't want to model anymore, but then I thought IMG has more than just a modeling division to start with.

That said, I positively suspect she'd have a better transition whenever she wants to come back as a model...

A big MA like Avant use a global management plan, which goes more far than individual management.
it has sens to work closely with a small selection of agencies instead of spreading all your girls in 15 agencies.
when you have top potential girl like Kris...you can also do quick money in dealing advance commission which can goes till very serious money, so the offer the agencies can make about that can influence the placement too.
And last thing, with a top girl placement you can also deal less top girl placement. Like "OK you can have this one, but yo must take those 2 as well", which also some agencies more ready to accept than others.

The last element is very usual management trick in all entertainment business, if you organise a music festival for example, to have a good band, you have also no choice tho accept to also take some more beginner band from the same label.
it is a very common thing in modeling placement too.
