i´m glad you liked them evaladiva!i have scans from one more magazine.unfortunately the quality of the pictures isn´t that great.they all belong to the film which she was then shooting "teresa la ladra".there´s an interesting interview in which monica and the director carlo di palma talk about the film and about their life as a couple (allegedly for the first time).there´s a nice quote by di palma :"our love walks (by foot?).neither of us has a driving license."

I agree, unforgettable is the word. I don't find her the moooost beautiful gal, but she certainly had something. A very rare and strong something.

Has anyone seen a Dutch movie called De Muse? It's not a... uh... typical movie and many, many people left the theatre in the middle but it's a about a guy whose life changes after he meets a Monica Vitti lookalike in the street. It was quite interesting for me, despite the very slow pace and the practically absolute lack of dialogue.

thanks for your beautiful pics,lucy!!monica vitti is one of my favourite actresses too.but i have always loved italian film in general and admire several italian actresses that helped to create unforgettable films that are part of the european film legacy-actresses like silvana mangano,lucia bose,anna magnani,giulietta masina and also sophia loren.however,monica´s work with antonioni left probalby the strongest impression on me.there is always something mysterious about her,a secret...not only in her antonioni films.her face is definitely unfogettable and haunting.and i find her personality intriguing too.she never gave herself away.
