Looking to architecture and stark black-and-white contrast, Monique Lhuillier showed a collection that she referred to as “a cross between sportswear and special occasion.” T-shirts, crop tops and tanks were done in cotton and lace and paired with voluminous skirts and shorts. The designer offered a graphic take on dresses, as well — a strapless high-low pleated silk-crepe version that could easily go from day to night was a standout. Meanwhile, evening delivered a pop of color in sophisticated tea-length color-blocked frocks.
