Hardly new but I see an re-emergence here. Monograms to me seem so prep, so LL Bean and so Southern belle. Personalizing your designer handbag with your initials seems kinda childish to me. What to do you guys think? I've seen it but it's so...........Lillian Vernon! On clothes as well (t shirts & jeans)...don't like it. I like it on silver sets (tea & coffee services and flatware) on expesive luggage and towel sets but not on EVERYTHING! I understand that personalizing handbags is a way of counteracting counterfeight bags but still.....

yes i agree ...i don't think it looks good at all. there's also shoes by nike or something where you can get your full name on them..to me it's just ugly : (

im sooo sick of it on clothing!!!
the only place i actually like it is on backpacks, at my school LL Bean bags are what everyone has, so if you dont have your name on it, you could pick up someone else's!!

I hate initial items with a passion, but a monogram isn't so bad.

The Nike ID shoes are kind of cute

I'd initial my luggage, towels and baby blankets but thats probably it..

I'm Southern- we monogram everything. Long sleeve button downs, towels, cups, undies, luggage, purses- you name it... we have stores devoted to it! When it got huge all over it made me sick, but it's so southern prep i'll probably never stop.

i think the letters should be stuck to the towels! and thats pretty much it!

yeah.. i think the monogram thing is SO so so so so out, especially for clothing and handbags. still cool for towels, linens, that sort of thing. but that's where it ends.
