Looks like the clothes were hanging up around the room that the models were in.

i really like this, along with the presentation. thanks, cerfas.i had a look at her website and wasn't very impressed with the recent collections, sadly she seems to have become much more glammy and safe...

good observation...
she has hired a pr firm and is courting the 'hollywood set' now anna...
there are still some very strong\0\0?6?\0\0\0\06?`\0#ollection imo...

i've always been a fan...
walking into the store in soho throughout the 80's was something like a religious experience...

sadly-the store closed in recent years...
there is one uptown on madison avenue though...
^_^

i've always loved mlf... there are some really great pieces in the recent collections! ... s/s 06 is pretty good overall...

Anna, I felt the same way
But like brian & softgrey say, there are some good individual pieces in the newer collections

A google search turned up a lot of trendy websites raving about the wedding dresses...that sort of repelled me. When I think wedding dresses that are talked-about, I think Vera Wang...and yeah, Hollywood. And ew. But I could see how it could be an interesting niche in a market, and how you could do something cool with it.
What was the store like, softgrey?

Looking at this collection, s/s 02, I can actually see how unique wedding dresses could be a natural extension...

actually...wedding dresses for the bride who is not mainstream have been a staple of morgan le fay's business from the beginning...

many people i know have always dreamed of being married in one of those dresses...
long before vera wang began her business...
she's always been part of the 'alternative' scene...

the store was in soho since the 80's when soho was full of artists and galleries...
it was a vast open loft space....
raw wood planks everywhere and metal pole racks spaced out with all these floaty creations hanging about...spaced really far apart...
it was more like a gallery than a store...

each article of clothing 'took up space'...
i remember when i was younger i was intimidated by the whole thing...
it was just so dramatic and lovely...
i could hardly breathe in that store...

...very medieval goddess...

oops...sorry...the site went wonky on me...'can someone pls delete one of the above posts...thx...

also-you might want to read the interview in the link below...
it's pretty good and there are pics of f/w 05...:flower:
