Moschino F/W 14.15 Milan

Fashion needs more things super funny and/or ultra dazzling. It starts to become something in the middle, and public don't know if to adore or hate. At least here some people hate but the majority tend to adore... and I like it :)

Divine? Incredible? I cannot understand how TFS tear Dior to pieces then love this. I just cannot forgive such an ugly, tacky collection on the basis that the creative director is 'having fun'. I just can't.

Different folks, different strokes. Just because it's Dior doesn't mean it's good.

ugh, this whole collection has Miley Cyrus and tumblr written all over it. It was a Jeremy Scott collection, with a fancier production budget. The pieces in the middle were the only marketable stuff.

There was wayyyy too much going on. He should have picked a theme or two and stuck to them

Awful. Completely unwearable. Not even a single piece is worth having.

What about Cheap and Chic? Is he designing that line too and when is the show? Didn't see it listed on the schedule.

Such a fun and energetic show, I loved it! It felt like we travelled back in time for a bit to the early 2000's when a runway show was fun like this! The clothes are fun and cool (yes, really tacky but he made it in a way that didn't make me puke lol). Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised by this.

this is not fun at all. franco moschino was a genius, j.scott is just a one trick pony. is he never tired of mocking the same lame jokes again and again?

When fashion meets (junk) food industry, "fun" and literal just like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.

Hmm. Its one thing to be ironic, but the McDonald's bit was a tad too literal. I like the humor, but did not really like the clothes. Not because they are vulgar, just because they're too literal. I like the Drink Moschino wording though. And I can foresee, if they brand it well, some of these will sell well. But yes, need more Tongue in Cheek.

I liked the presentation, it was very 90s when fashion was fun and exciting.
The clothes were campy and tacky as hell but they will sell with music stars and rich eurotrash clients.

That was horrendous! JESUS!!!! What's up with that collection... :ninja:
I doubt this collection will be picked up by magazines for editorial work, it's too stupid and mocks Moschino's work! Bad move! Jeremy Scott was, is and will be no one relevant in fashion...he only offers trashy clothes....good luck selling this mess of a presentation!!!! :flower:

Okay the collection is interesting and fun to watch but it ends exactly there... for ENTERTAINMENT value. there is no high fashion here there is cheese and tackiness and consumer culture amplified.
as a satire i love it, to wear? hell no.

i can't believe that anyone would buy this..it is really horrible.

I'm living for this. I don't know if I genuinely like it because it's entirely in keeping with the Moschino ethos or if I'm just so friggin tired of boxy white everything that something so lighthearted and deliberately fun simply makes my pulse quicken.

For all of those deriding this as totally unwearable, it's about as unwearable as the insane hi-tops Scott designs for Adidas...which is to say not very unwearable at all and likely destined for "it" status. The only pieces that I can see being challenging are the gowns, and being that they're more than likely for show and editorial purposes that's really not a problem. The young and Instagram-obsessed will snap a lot of this stuff right up.

I LOVE the riffs on the iconic Moschino belts, turning them into tops and skirts and dresses and whatnot. The denim and "fur" pieces are great too.

It's almost as if the Moschino belt and boxer shorts inspired outfits were made for Miley

I would commend Jeremy Scott for trolling the fashion industry so hard, but my eyes hurt looking at his collection so I can't. :(

has the 1% ironically mocking/appropriating the culture of the 99% ever been funny? this isn't just offensively ugly clothing but the references and attitude are offensive. lots of people would be angry if the models were wearing native american headdresses or maori tattoos, but i guess it's ok if it's just the (shallow, commercial) aspect of the fashion industry mockingly wearing the symbols of people who can't afford to wear fashion. i have no idea why people are lapping this up.

DISGUSTING AND I LOVE IT!

I found it provocative, insightful, and funny. It's good to have something divisive and surprising-- otherwise things are too staid. Remember, there's nothing worse than too much good taste.

You say this as if the "99%" have no sense of humor or irony, and would never laugh at themselves. And as if the 99% never buy fashion. As a 99%er with the bank balance to prove it, I can say for certain that you aren't speaking for me. :D
