YSL maybe, Armani i dont think so but Chanel omg that is shameless, just want to know who will buy that awful top.

What's even more sad is that people will actually pay for that piece, which probably cost $50 to make.

Not comparable with Chanel bag above, but -

Stella McCartney, Alice Neon Resin Box Clutch, 1,125 €.

I've always thought Proenza Schouler was way too expensive but now they're definitely reaching Balmain territory with their pricing. The only item from their F/W 12 collection that's less than $1,500 is a basic black tencel top for $525.

One of the most ridiculous ones is this white cotton shirt for $1,575.

I think those moda operandi prices are a little pumped up because they get pieces exclusively from latest collection...at least I hope so

I understand NY designers now for being expensive since they're not big fashion houses and don't have a big atelier team and it takes even MORE time for them to make the outfits.

At least that PS top has some type of construction and thought put into it as opposed to this:

Balmain cotton top

It's just a simple long sleeved stretch cotton t-shirt with a few buttons sewn on.

I think this Rodarte sweater is just way too overpriced. It doesn't even look good.

An Alexander Wang sweater made out of the same fabric is 250$ . I understand that Wangs might be produced in China, using cheaper fabrics in larger quantites BUT when even Loro Piana manages to sell their baby cashmere sweaters for 1600$ then Rodarte should be able to offer theirs at roughly the same price. I am tolerable when it comes to prices but this is exsessive.

The Gucci jacket is entirely embroidered with sequins, and posting to India costs a lot.
Neither fact makes it any less ugly, though.

How about this one?

Victoria, Victoria Beckham (that's the diffusion line) dress,

100% polyester, $775

And it's ugly, too :ninja:

^That isn't that bad to be fair, the price is on par with other diffusion lines like Marc by Marc Jacobs to be honest.

And again, the Gucci jacket is only justifiable by the amount of work put into it during production.
