Mugler F/W 11.12 : Rick Genest by Mariano Vivanco

I was just speaking in general.

I don't see any "elements" of Gaga in this, just a "connection" their "personal relationship". That is my point as to why I don't think there is anything Gaga about this campaign.

Anyways, done talking about her. She doesn't need anymore exposure.

^ Yes the ads have nothing to do with her, but her fans will unmistakeably look at this and say "Oh it's so Gaga", even if it isn't. But yes, you're absolutely right, this is way too classy to be Lady Gaga.

I am quite appalled by your comment. Simply because there have been claims made by your friends who know him regarding his mental state and his inability to mutter complete and coherent sentences, we should hold back any appraisal for him? This is absurd. When did it become not OK to compliment or praise someone that may be mentally unstable? What makes them less deserving?

Because he's not even conscious of what he's doing to his body. Students here used to be grossed out by him. I saw him in the subway a few weeks ago between and people were terrorized by his appearance.

I think I got what Kimkhuu is saying. She's saying that Rick Genest body "art" is a product of his mental illness. That means he is not even aware of what he is doing to his body. Right?

Anyway, this ad is so intriguing it almost borders on gimmickry. The only shot that I like is the one where he doesn't wear any clothing. I think it's more about Genest than Mugler.

What makes you think he is not conscious of what he's going to his body? How could you be so certain of that? So, because students are grossed out by him and others are terrorized by his appearance, he is deemed as mentally unstable? What he does to his body and how he chooses to live his life is his choice. Why should he care if his appearance offend/scare others? If we all lived our lives like that, then we live in a very sad world. No one should have to live their life by others' standards or for acceptance.

This is such a weak campaign, specially compared to what Thierry Mugler was able to bring out. They could have made some sort of effort.
