Mulberry S/S 2013 : Meghan Collison by Tim Walker

Gorgeous, and it's so surprising to see a less edgy looking Meghan!

love the soft palette used in this ad. so happy meghan got mulberry. hope it is a solo for meghan.

meghan is not very mulberry-ish though? I think it's kind of a strange choice!

Such a strange choice after the likes of Lindsey and Frida but this is GORGEOUS! Meghan looks so soft and the colours work so well.

Sorry but i dont like, look very amateur is espacial the style

Nice to see a softer side to Meghan and the colors are nice.

Meghan looks so weird here. I don't think that overly romantic and kitschy look suits her. I'm a bit annoyed by the pastel colors here, I don't think this is very appealing.

It would only be strange if she didn't pull it off or looked like her usual grungy self. It works, for me. I like it, though it would be better if she was looking directly into the lens. I can see they were going for whimsical, but looking off she almost looks lost or confused. I still think it works, though.

WATER BABIES: Mulberry has taken a plunge into pastel seas for its spring ad campaign, which was shot by Tim Walker and art directed by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse. The campaign has a surreal feel, with the model Meghan Collison posed among giant bubbles and against an underwater seascape of soft pink and baby blue rocks and coral. The campaign was shot at Copped Hall, a derelict Georgian mansion outside London, and will break in the February issues of Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar in the U.K., and Vogue in the U.S.

“This season I wanted to focus on the girl as part of the landscape, rather than a character within it,” said Walker. “Thus the pictures of Meghan Collison become more like portraits. She was…able to hold your gaze, but almost otherworldly, she inhabits a dreamscape.”

Cooke Newhouse, of House + Holme, said: “Mulberry campaigns always tell a fantastical story. The campaign is located in a kind of lunar landscape below the sea…in a world that almost exists but may be more of a beautiful dream.”
