Naeem Khan loves an embroidered gown — and so does his clientele, many of whom are red-carpet regulars. For pre-fall, he delivered an array of adorned dresses, caftans and even cashmere sweaters. A gray long-sleeve turtleneck with silver allover beading stood out. “Here, I kept the beading monochromatic and simple because it’s more about the shape,” he said.
Khan also played with novelty fabrics — one gown was made of black lace embroidery and filaments found in fishing lines — and offered embellished sweaters that could be dressed up when worn over a strapless gown or dressed down when paired with black cigarette pants.
