Nail Polish

^it's called 'eiffel for this color'. it's almost like a lincoln park after dark.

thanks! I just looked it up on "all lacquered up" and it looks lovely

If anyone else is looking for Metro Chic by OPI for Sephora it is now available online again!!! I suggest you order quickly, as I'm sure they will be sold out again in no time.

So I caved in and bought the Se Viche Quick Drying Top Coat- I'm going to use it tonight for the first time. Do any of you have any experience with this?

Or recommendations for other great top coats? (preferably ones that dry quickly...but are still a great deal for the $)

can anyone recommend a "blackened" red from OPI?
thanks u guys

what do you mean by blackened red?
like a dark maroon? a deep blood red, or an almost black red? the more specific you can be, the better recommendation someone can give ;)

also, on another note... has anyone noticed or read about any nail polish trends this season?

i'm still loving dark colors (deep plums, black, burgundy, navy)...
i've been wearing my revlon "vixen" since the weather started to cool a couple weeks ago ^_^

im always sewing so cant let my nails be very long...and in same resons cant paint its in darl or bright colors, cause very soon paint will break...so my everyday "friend" is invisible transparent "smart enamel"

has anyone tried royalrajahruby by OPI? if so what did you think of it? also, is it as dark as on the picture on the right?

Can anyone recommend a rich teal color? My friends and I have looked at OPI's Teal the Cows Come Home but it's more of a blue... Any help would be greatly appreciated :flower:

Have you tried China Glaze's Turned up Turquoise? It's not turquoise at all, not a sky blue like the stone. It's actually more of a teal green color. It's at Ulta, and they were having a sale for China Glaze too 3.99.

I went to ULTA last night, and the sale for China Glaze was still going on. It's a great deal for $3.99!

Even better than that Sally's has a coupon you can print out for buy 2 China Glaze get one free, plus you get a coupon with that purchase for $5 off your next purchase. And a Sally's beauty card gets you additional discounts.

I think its a better deal at Sally's but Ulta has more nail polish brands.

Neither of the Sallys or Ulta or Trade Secret even by me has any Creative Nail Design though, very annoying. I love the colors they have.

Routine for applying nail polish?

I love OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark!

I seem to be having trouble applying polish without chipping almost right afterwards. It's quite frustrating when you're about to head out for the night and managed to screw up your nails!

So what's everyone's routine for applying nail polish so that it doesn't chip so easily? Do you use a separate brush? Topcoat afterwards? Air dry, a fan?

Base coat, two layers of whatever colour, top coat. And 5 mins inbetween layers.

i thk sth like black red...

and dark colors still seem to be the trend. and i m thking maybe silver? like the Kaleidoscope from chanel?

i read in alllacqueredup that metallics is a trend this season: http://www.alllacqueredup.com/2008/09/fall-nail-trend-alert-metallics.html

I agree with dark colors. Dark colors are always in this time of year, though I've definitely gravitated towards plums and dark purples lately. And I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for Chanel's Haute Chocolat!

But can anyone suggest some good gunmetal nail polish??

Thanks!
