Just saw King Kong. AMAZING.

Naomi was breathtaking and just absolutely amazing in it, as well as Jack Black and Adrien Brody. The movie....god, Peter Jackson, can you make bad movies?? One of the best movies ever.

agree!!!!!!!!!
i just watched it last night, indeed it was a GREAT movie!
she looks gorgeous ... !!!

but doesn't she look a bit like Nicole Kidman ?
perhaps it's the make up, hairstyle, and dresses!! ^_^

i think she is such an intense actress. very emotional. i love her.
i want to see king kong but i am such a sook. i dont want to see the big fellar die : (

i didn't cry when i watched it though.
Perhaps it's because the theater was full of families n small kids!
they were so noisy.. :judge: :judge:

Back to the topic.
I think Naomi Watts has a classic beauty. Elegant.

Has Scott Barnes been doing her makeup lately? There is something very Scott about her look for the UK premiere. I just adore it. She looks astounding.

The lavender color is so pretty! And the make-up is good! she is just glowing

i saw the movie today, it was great!!:woot:
she was really good in it...it must have been difficult to act
with the blue screen and still she is so believable and sweet...:crush:
i usually don't like characters like ann because they are too
nice...too good to be true in an almost perfect way..
but naomi managed to make it work and i have to recognize
the good job she did...^_^
although:ninja: i think she is one of the actresses that i've seen cry the most
in movies...she is ALWAYS with a tear...it's so sad...
It's like Hollywood and Oscar only see women that way...
as this perfect figure, that is sweet, delicate defenseless...and depressed...
How many actresses won awards after crying a billion tears in movies????
it gets me so sick..really... :ninja:
But Naomi is great....but bad news it seems she won't be
nominated for the oscar....her team of publicists are doing a bad job or something...

She was great in the movie, I saw it last night! I LOVED the outfits they put her in, she really looked like she had literally steped out of the 30's! Karma to the fashion dept!

I saw King Kong tonight, she was so beautiful! And she did an amazing job!! :)

Oh, I'm so glad to hear everyone loves "KING KONG," (not that I expected anything less).

She was simply amazing. She was funny, heartbreaking, melancholy, and sad, and Everything.
I can't believe that her hair was a wig, I was in awe of how beautiful it looked throughout the movie. And Yes, :) the wardrobe was amazing.

I have to agree with morbid_existence, her PR team sucks. I don't mean that they have to send her to every single party or something, but she's only on Vanity Fair and Premiere magazine. Gawd, Gywneth got Vogue, Instyle, and every other magazine and as much as I loved her "Proof" performance, if she lasts through the Oscar season, well then I'd be speechless.
Plus, the BO numbers weren't too good either. Only $66 mill for a 5-day-opening-weekend, with a $200 mill budget. That doesn't help her chances much.
The film only recieved best score and director Golden Globes noms. Though, this isn't the first time the HFPA overlooked Naomi. They did so in Muholland Dr. and 21 Grams, and she ended up recieving an Oscar nom for the latter.
Once again, the fact that this is a big-budget movie with very little Oscar campaigning going on is probably going to sink her chances.
This is why I wanna get into PR, but then again the industry is so.... and :o and  and  and...

Naomi is a great actress. I agree also that her PR team sucks. In Australia she is famous but to me it seems in America that they don't really know her that well.

And if everyone is saying the movie is great but didn't get the money that they expected Im pretty sure it's because America is not familiar with Naomi Watts.

King Kong was soo sad!!! Naomi Watts played the perfect Ann Darrow, I must say...her acting is superb, and I can't stand the way someone bashed her about "all she had to do was scream" that's so not true. If you saw the movie you can tell she can act especially through her facial expressions.

^who's been saying all she had to do was scream!?!? She played such an amazing range of emotions! bleh she's beautiful and talented!

She's a very elegant woman in my opinion. I think it shows her dedication as an actress that she stuck it out for so long, even when she was only known as 'Nicole Kidmans best friend'.

People who haven't seen Peter Jackson's version. In the 1933 orginal and 1956(?) remake, all Ann Darrow's character had to do was scream.

Maybe if there was a bigger headliner then it would bring in more money. But then again this type of movie is usually based on a huge campaign and special features, not the stars in the film.... They still have Christmas and New Year's break.
