bit off topic....woah peter jackson has lot a lot of weight...how did he lose it? I remember he used to be huge.

I remember that he said he lost it due to the stress of his latest movies. He had less time to eat. :p

I thought the same! Even when she was supposed to be the 'damsel in distress' here hair and face looked great- almost flawless.

 I can't believe she wore this to the "We Don't Live Here Anymore" premiere (which was a great film BTW), especially compared to her other outfits. She looks like a (sl*tty) teenager!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear everyone loves "KING KONG," (not that I expected anything less).

She was simply amazing. She was funny, heartbreaking, melancholy, and sad, and Everything.
I can't believe that her hair was a wig, I was in awe of how beautiful it looked throughout the movie. And Yes, :) the wardrobe was amazing.

I have to agree with morbid_existence, her PR team sucks. I don't mean that they have to send her to every single party or something, but she's only on Vanity Fair and Premiere magazine. Gawd, Gywneth got Vogue, Instyle, and every other magazine and as much as I loved her "Proof" performance, if she lasts through the Oscar season, well then I'd be speechless.
Plus, the BO numbers weren't too good either. Only $66 mill for a 5-day-opening-weekend, with a $200 mill budget. That doesn't help her chances much.
The film only recieved best score and director Golden Globes noms. Though, this isn't the first time the HFPA overlooked Naomi. They did so in Muholland Dr. and 21 Grams, and she ended up recieving an Oscar nom for the latter.
Once again, the fact that this is a big-budget movie with very little Oscar campaigning going on is probably going to sink her chances.
This is why I wanna get into PR, but then again the industry is so.... and :o and  and  and...

But think of it another way. She's an amazing actress and there's this sense of mystery about her that wouldn't be the same if she were on the cover of every magazine. Over-exposure is the worst. I'd rather see just a few magazines featuring her with beautiful pictures than a bunch of magazines with "okay" pictures.

King Kong was SO good! She looked so beautiful in it. And I can't believe I cried! I never cry. So good.

Good point. But I think Naomi knows enough about the industry to understand how to keep her private and public life balanced. She seems to be keeping most things private and isn't asking for the attention like so many other celebrities seem to do.

Her performance in "King Kong" is definitely Oscar worthy, but genre of the film is holding her back. With a good marketing, a GG or Oscar nomination would be palpable... And not just a Best Actress nomination, but overall the whole film... I just feel she is not receiving the recognition she deserves.

I can't believe she looks so young. I think she's either 36 or 37. She could easily pass for 23-25.
I have to see King Kong ASAP. :)
