Neu Rave / New Rave

What are peoples opinions on this new generation of music ..
in all its neon, glowstick, cartoon couture glory??

klaxons,mystery jets,vitalic,trash fashion,new young pony club, germlin,silverlink,hotchip, grabba, gay against you, datarock,shitdisco etc. are not only shapping up a big change in the music world but there style is also strongly influencing street fashions as well .. so i thort seems as this was a music thread on a fashion forum it was the best place to discuss it... sorry if its already been done and ive missed it .. feel free to delete etc.

This electic mix of electronica, rave and various random instoments such as klaxons, bells, keyboards, synths and anything electrical has created this new music wave.

It so influentual .. id used it as the theme for the october mag

Well I like it alot, it doesn't sound too far from the indie rock music. Incidentally I've been to a sh*t Disco show not knowing it was neurave. Here I found a photo I took. They could pass off as every normal band. The Klaxons look like a more colorful Test Icicles.

Shitdisco are amaizing life, i went to the nme tour were they proformed with klaxons and datarock.. amaizing *waves glow stick*

they're all like guilty fluorescent pleasures.
much more appealing to me than dance music... but certainly make me want to dance!
i find it quite hard to differentiate between their style of dress and that of the scene.

I love it. I grew up at the raves in the late 90's with the plastic bracelets up to my elbows and the oversized kick girl pants. To see that scene somewhat revived makes me really happy.

This will probably go on for about...maybe 3 weeks, but I like the music, a lot actually. But you will never, ever see me in neon.

im totally into it...always been...im a Madchester girl i guess... indie and new rave are influencing me alot...Klaxons! CSS,...but also the 'good old' bands like The Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays and Primal Scream...

I'm quite liking it, the music is definetely catchy and good for dancing. And I've already seen some people here in Spain dressing in neon leggings, bracelets,etc. I wouldn't wear it myself but I like watching it.

thought these might be a treat for your eyes. Trash Fashion played at Jukebox which has been featured in pop magazine.

you cant have the music without the clothes.
