Kate Moss' content is so disappointing... I was waiting something like Bert did for a french mag with Natasha and Isabeli.

That's exactly what I thought - he's riffing on 'The Last Sitting' again, for some of those images.

And the irony is, I was throwing out some old bags today, and found a Vanity Fair article all about the original shoot.

Wow! Can I just say I absolutely love Kate's photoshoot.

These days the trend in fashion photography is either a liberal use of photoshop or an emphasis on Terry Richardson-esque rawness; I feel like this shoot is a refreshing marriage of the two. Sure she's all done up, but no photoshop. When viewing these photos I find myself thinking 'so that's what she really looks like modeling in a studio'. It may be strange but I like it.

isn't Lauren a little bit too old to be doing that gossip girl thing?. Isabelle McNally is the only one that sells that 'lifestyle' somehow, despite downtown tendencies.

Kate's story is the worst I've seen from her. she looks so tired. :argg:

i really like the ed. with the Virgins and Field Trip.
I suppose Kate just looks her age in these but she definitely could use the photoshop...interesting they chose not to.

^^I applaud that actually, think lately Kate has been almost turned into a hologram of what some brands consider "Kate Moss" image, but i like it here, mostly the shot where you can see her face for what it is, the styling and Berts rehash of MM is tired though, i agree.

God the Kate's spread is awful, it has no redeeming feature.

Kate's spread looks absolutely terrible. She looks like a chain smoking laundrette lady in the close up. You see her for what she really is...................

I do not like Kate Moss's shoot.

She looks like an amateur model posing for soft-core porn.

i totally agree. its more of the aura of Kate rather than Kate. she cant stay that waify 19 year old forever. hell she is nearly 40 and she looks it. weight and all. i'd love to see vogue feature her now with her new fuller self.

idk tho...from an aesthetic point of view she hasn't really retained model qualities. she reminds me of an aging Twiggy.

Nobody is immune to ageing... the too fast too live subtext is etched on the contours of her face, physically out of shape, i might add, for an individual who was the token and sole relic for the "waif" aesthetic and "heroin chic"

I think it's great they didn't use photoshop. And I also think that Kate looks great. The only thing I don't like is her hairstyle which makes her look older than she really is. Her face looks beautiful though.

considering all the shots from kate's ed, the cover is definitely the best one though... it's not the lack of airbrush that bothers me, nor her face (a bit tired but still beautiful imo) - it's her arms. and i agree with [Piece Of Me], the hairstyle isn't helping either. they should have done something more like this - still very simple, but much better...
