New York or London?

London!!!

they play football(proper football not this weird AFL we have here) for a start, kewl shops, great accents...etc i dunno i just LOOVVEEE london

london: the history, the fashion, the weather, the sites, the stores...:)

New York, for the following reasons:

Better weather
Better food
Better stores (tho' London's are super-great, too)
Lower crime rate (slightly)
RELATIVELY cheaper cost of living

NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!!!:woot: :D

For one, I live here all my life :D

Second, better food!

Third, it's the city that never sleeps! After a club or party there's always a restaurant that's still open! And the foods better!!!!!

And as much as l love London, my  belongs to New York ^_^ B)

IMO, the food thing is slowly changing. I think that old cliche about London having rubbish food is nonsense. I even think you can get a decent meal for under £5 these days if you know where to look! The £3 lebanese lamb schwerma wraps at Fatoush Express, all you can eat Mediterranean buffet on Charing X road, the 80p cream cheese bagels on Brick Lane.

The great thing about London is the off-the-beaten track places, nooks and crannies. I'm always discovering new stuff about London ALL the time.

NYC hits you all in an instant whereas London is like a grower, you have to give it some time.

I totally agree with that, well said. Having grown up in London, I get a huge buzz when I go to NYC because its the size I like, but really different and in your face.

But London has its charms and its a really down to earth place. New Yorkers are so proud of NY, always bigging it up but Londoners are a bit more mellow about that stuff. British self-depracation, I suppose.

I do think its easier to meet people in New York than London.

been to both and love new york to bits.. the fact that it contrasts busy city life with spectacular parks is amazing.. oh and the shops.. dont even get me started lol

I am seriously convinced that my friend is moving to London from New York because of London's superior Indian food.

^Ironically...the only cuisine I don't like is Indian food. But yeah...the number of Indian restaurants here is ASTONISHING!

I prefer neither New York nor London, but rather an imaginary place called New London...where fashionistas, circus folk, elves, ******** and unicorns all co-exist together, harmoniously, without racism, classism or any -isms to speak of. New London will also have excellent dim sum. Who's coming with me?

:ninja:

London, no question about it. I love Topshop, Camden markets, Portobello Rd, old cathdrals, churches and chapels (one of my ancestors was a Saint and has a chapel hidden in London apparently) the people, the atmosphere, the history.
I've never lived there, but I get homesick for it all the same

It's my home *sniff*

Can I ride the unicorns and do the ******** makeup?

London because I live here, I know my way around, my family are here, and I think it offers a greater variety of activities than NYC! ^_^
