Some of the looks are very CDG-lite, he needs to create something that truly him or people only gonna remember him as Rei protegé.
^I agree. It is very hard to get away from Comme when it seems Rei's tried everything under the sun but it's worth trying. The most egregious example of dejá-vu is in the purple dresses which are almost identical to some she presented for Fall 2019!
I did like the looks with the sharp spikes poking out everywhere, studs but taken to the extreme. Reminded me of Bjork's costume in Vulnicura's album cover.
its so CDG I assumed this was a new diffusion.
it's kind of grotesque in a way CDG never was. that jacket? with the wire sleeves looks like straight horror fuel. I also think the spiked stuff is eyeroll inducing, so much Japanese culture and the focus is on the Western punks in Tokyo.
I do like the glittery sausage links, that is a nice section. Couple of the gowns around that section are also lovely.
