oh no! i was reading the thread and thankful that i wasn't really into the bag as i am saving my money from my chanel excesses...then i saw the brown bag in WWD. now i think it's lovely i do need a nice brown leather bag eek!

Although I dont like the knit Novak bags, I can definitely see how they would appeal to people who wanted to carry it during the summer without it looking too ladylike.

Hi there, I think I know you from the Marc Jacobs Stam thread!! I love this bag, and did ever since I first saw it on NAP. I managed to get a red one and I LOVE it. It's just really different to all the slouchy bags that have been around forever. I love the primness of it and it gives me a bit of an excuse to dress up a little bit. I think it heralds a turn away from boho and towards a more ladylike, neat appearance which is nice for a change. I think that's why it's getting alot attention from people..including me!!

the bag has just one small pocket that fits my cell phone, keys, and wallet. The rest of the bag is one big section... I've yet to see another lady carrying one! Maybe I'm not uptown often enough It *is* a very proper bag after all.

I've never seen another one where I live either! But, the original production was only 200, and i think that's it (maybe there was an additional production, can anyone answer?), though there are more coming in the next month or so. So, I think that's why they're not commonly seen.
LaMie, how do you wear yours? For work and/or just around town? I wear mine around town so it's quite a contrast with jeans! Trying to get used to the look, so i usually dress up the jeans with a prissy top...

There are several variations for the S/S collection including mixed leathers (croc, lizard, etc)

McQueen is also coming out with limited edition pieces including leather and FUR combo.

The boutique had one "special edition" in Red LIZARD with a RUBY

I'm still waiting for my perfect red leather to come in to replace the one with the scuffs.
