The main editorial Tender is the Night is a 72-page-long spread. It took three days to shot in Pigalle Paris, and was intended to pay homage to photographer George Brassaï‘s book Paris de nuit.
This is a wonderful mixture of Brassai's "Paris de Nuit" and Newton's famous "Le Smoking." On the cover, I love that she is frontal opposed to the original. Makes it a such a commanding shot. Also happy at the amount of press Raf's Dior collection is getting (interesting connection, "Le Smoking" featured a Saint Laurent designed tuxedo. Saint Laurent also designed for the house of Dior.)
The editorial sounds amazing! 72 pages of Paris and couture(?). Sounds like heaven.
I love "Tender is The Night." My favorite shot has to be the 5th one of Part II. From the thumbnail it looks like she is levitating. That gown is just perfect for that shot.
