Does anyone have this issue? I'm trying to find a scan of the 4-page interview with Alyssa Sutherland in it. :flower:

is this really worthy of posting in the magazine thread?! OK is such trash. Every month it's either Jordan or Victoria Beckham on the cover save for a few like this one.

Agree. It's not about fashion just gossip. Same with men's magazine, I think someone started a thread on a Sports Illustrated magazine????

Please remove this thread...

Ya i third that its weird to post Ok magazine in fashion forums magazines section!I thought i was halucinating when i saw the title. Please dont turn TFS into that kind of site! :(

I really don't think this should be posted here... it's a gossip magazine not fashion.

But we were trying to find a fashion models itnerview!! Alyssa SUtherland 4 pages

OK! Magazine is a weekly magazine, so in order to identify the right issue, you need to give both the week date and the issue number, so anyone waiting for this in Europe or the US knows when it might arrive. That is my only quibble.

I was thinking the other night, whatever happened to OK! in the US? I knew it launched but I haven't heard much about it, so I presume it's gone down the dumper.

Oh us ok is still on .. I think..

OK Magazine UK March 06

Maybe someone could find it??

I see online that the US version is still alive! Though it looks like a poor relative of all the well-established American gossip weeklies. And there's an Australian one, which I didn't know before I looked it up on wiki.

Anyway, back to the subject: I find that Hello! Magazine runs far more high fashion content than OK! ever does. Quite often there are features about new collections, designer's lifestyles and the suchlike, not forgetting their fashion supplement (which I always try to mention here). If I subscribed to it, I think there'd be a place for a running thread mentioning what fashion content was in each issue each week, but I know that I never buy it often enough to warrant mentioning it, and there's no point talking about issues in isolation.

Though The Queen is on this week's issue, so I'll head over to the VF thread to post something about it, seeing as they share the same photoshoot.

OK! recently ran a model exclusive.. I'm still ttrying to find that Alyssa Sutherland interview!!

OK!, OK! Sheesh..

Hahahaa.. goodness, I forgot all about posting this thread! That's right, I posted this abhorrent thread regarding that terrible, terrible trashy gossip mag OK! because I was specifically looking for the interview with model Alyssa Sutherland in it. (I've since found it through a news database [news? gossip? lol] and posted it in the AS thread). I browsed all the subforum subjects and considered this the most appropriate place to put my request, which I'd incidentally thought was made clear enough in explanation of why in fact I would create a thread on such trash.

The earlier indignant posts by those suitably horrified purveyors of fine fashion media I find very amusing.. "Please dont turn TFS into that kind of site!".. .."I thought I was halucinating" [sic], etc.. guess you guys haven't seen the entire subforum Rumour has it.. which is dedicated to such discussion, so that members of this ever-so-posh fine fashion forum may "Get your daily dose of celeb gossip."

Hmm.. I guess in part TFS already is that kind of site...! ;)

tfs is a bit overreacting soemtimes. Franks was trying to find the Alyssa article!! You guys could have been helpful. A magazine is a magazine. Whatever xD I know you guys dont like trashy gossip rags but franks was trying to find an article on a highfashion model. Thanks for time

xx

The great thing about OK! and Hello! are their sizes - you can get W-sized images of adverts, as well as fashion candids such as red carpet shots. The main gripe I'd have with OK! is the sheer repetitiveness of the content, as they focus on a small circle of celebs that make the cover again and again, to the point of tedium. I wish a greater variety of faces made it onto the cover - a range of actresses, models and celebs - but I guess they're sticking with their best-sellers.

I think the point people were trying to make is this is the fashion section of the forum, and so this has no relevance here.
Also, you didn't say you were looking for a specific article so how was anyone supposed to know? All you did was list the contents.

I guess he just listed the contents for convention's sake.

And while I definitely don't think gossip mags merit a thread in the magazine forum, I don't really get why five people felt the need to jump on the original poster. Meg's post was enough, and the mods could've removed/locked the thread had they wished to. :flower:

I think people presumed it was a review, and didn't get chance to notice the request underneath. For my part, I'm sorry I couldn't help the original poster, because I've stopped buying the magazine; I have no problem sending people clippings of articles, and I imagine anyone would help out in a similar way.

That much goes on at fashionspot that people speed-read things, and don't see everything first time around.
