Not specifically. I think sometimes you find the best things when you least expect it. Just to go to small little boutiques that have one-of-a-kind pieces. And probably Nolita, I would say, is a great area.

I really enjoy going to Café Gitane. Johannes and I really like going there. So when we’re home we go there for dinne—so every once in a while.
Do you have a favorite New York-based book, movie or television show?
Aside from Sex and the City? Well, I did appreciate that 24 did its last season in New York—that was great.

What is her career exactly? Totally naive question, I promise... im curious to know what you consider as Olivia's career. On a lighter note, I dont think anyone subscribed to this thread is here just to put her down, we all love her style (or used to love it) and we are here only to discuss about it... IMO a lifestyle has to do with a person's style (at dressing I mean)... so thats why Olivia's lifestyle comes up every now and then, but I dont think people gossip about it for the sake of it.

However I totally agree with you in your last line, she is the queen when its about mixing designers with low cost brands.

Doesn't EVERYBODY but the Olsen twins --who never leave the house wearing less that 5000 dollars on in given day-- mix high and low now? I don't think Olivia's exactly revolutionary in that regard.

I'm still waiting for an outfit that I like from her at Fashion Week. She has been off her game for a few weeks now. Those leopard booties seem like a relic from last season's animal print frenzy. The only consistently good thing about her during Fashion Week has been the health and sheen of her hair.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that her style is her career? Don't get me wrong I like the girl, I like her style, I like the way she does things, mixing high street and designer. I like that she's classy in her choices. It's all been a little off recently though, individual pieces are gorgeous but it's just never really worked as whole for me.

The Olsen twins and everyone and else claim/do mix high and low but I feel like they think of high and low in terms of vintage and not neccessarily actual high street like Kurt Geiger, Zara or Reiss etc. Olivia seems to be one of the few who wears legitimate high-street fashion which isn't just soley Topshop
