Anyway, does someone know WHAT foundation she uses?? I heard that she used to be a fan of the YSL perfect touch foundation, but I just hate the brush! And I think this foundation is not as good to leave such a flawless and dewy face. I NEED to know her secret!!
 
I read it somewhere that she uses GUERLAIN foundation. I think that article is here in this thread, too.
 
I cant believe she had so many oppotunities to dress up good and then we see... Already miss old Olivia.
 
i agree that the vest is waaaay too long for her. other than that, the outfit looks great... for a day out running errands or having a long lunch with the girls in NYC. to a couture show? no way!
 
Definitely not impressed with her HC show outfits. And I too am surprised that she still gets an invitation to these shows... I wouldn't really consider her to be a socialite any longer.
 
I doubt Olivia is a buyer of couture so I'm surprised she's there at all. It's not like she's a major celebrity who needs a dress for the Oscars or something.
 
loladonna, I agree. I don't think anybody outside of us can even really recall who she is anymore. She is, after all, a former reality television star. I hope she keeps her style up because that's all we really notice her for.

^ You know, a year or so back I thought she was on her way to a big career, but it seems like she lost her momentum; I'm not really sure what she is or does anymore... :(
 
I dont really understand what people were expecting from her? She never had any real talent - music/acting ect. Considering that I dont think she is doing too bad. I dont visit her blog, but i saw its been put up for an award....

& altho her recent outfits are pretty forgettable if you look at the people sitting amongst her at the HC shows - no one is in a floor length gown, she looks fine. Not exciting, but nice, and fits in with the crowd. She's never really been one to do anything totally wild at an event.
 
I agree that her last outfits are forgettable. I remember most of her outfits from begining of her career, but now not at all. She is trying to much to be trendy/fun/interesting. She should stick to her own style and don't care to much about trends etc.

I would love to see her TV show, I would def. watch it, I think her blog was a mistake. I don't understand at all why she wants to be a fashion blogger.

Well, I compared her to Emily Weiss in my post. Emily is now steadily climbing the ranks at Vogue and has a wildly successful blog (intothegloss.com). I thought Olivia might keep climbing the magazine ranks, but it's clear the show set her up with a gig that she had no real interest in. I don't think she has an interest in styling anybody but herself. Olivia seems more interested in an approximation of being an insider while Emily Weiss actually is an insider. Olivia seems to be chasing the limelight but without much direction or focus.

It seems like Olivia doesn't want to actually work like Emily Weiss has. She only worked for Elle for the TV show anyway.

Resident New Yorker Olivia Palermo joined fashion's elite in London last night to attend the British Fashion Awards. The model, it girl and founder of oliviapalermo.com, who is a favourite with numerous designers, was also there to present the emerging talent award to Mary Katrantzou. The big question was, what was she going to wear?? This is where good friend Matthew Williamson came in. Olivia is a big fan of the British designer, and is a regular front row fixture at his shows. Last night she stole the show in a piece from his Autumn winter 11 collection. We spoke to Matthew himself:
Olivia looked stunning in my AW'11 vintage feather mini-dress at the British Fashion Awards last night. It's a pleasure to dress her, we've become friends over the past few years as she's been a great supporter of mine and always comes to my shows. Olivia has a way of looking immaculate and chic in whatever she wears and I'm flattered that she genuinely loves wearing my clothes.

Olivia popped into the agency looking lovely as always in a military coat, fur gilet and thigh-high boots. She is in town to present an award tonight- we can't wait to see what creation she opts for, it's bound to be amazing!
