This is from a couple of weeks ago, but it is still a burning question...
Olivia Palermo’s Hair: Mood Indicator Or Simple Style Choice?
With the exception of the final scene in last night’s episode of The City, it seems as though the more conniving Olivia got, the straighter her hair became. As her attitude worsened, she took to the straightening iron, trading in her carefully coiffed curls for pin straight tresses. An attempt to look more serious, or simply coincidence?
The image of Olivia plotting Whitney’s demise whilst sitting atop a bathroom sink, ceramic straightener in hand, aggressively showing her hair who’s boss as the steam rises from the tool — well, it’s simply too easy to imagine and, frankly, it’s hilarious.
So why the curls in the last scene? Maybe it’s Olivia’s attempt — conscious or not — to try to find some ounce of lightheartedness. Maybe when Joe Zee told her to make amends with Whitney, she figured putting some bounce in her coif could make her seem nicer. In case you were wondering, Olivia, it didn’t work.
So which do you prefer: Curly or straight? And just to be clear, we’re talking about her hair, not her personality.
