Olivier is one of the contributors at la-couture.com, he takes pics backstage at fashion week. I've fallen in love with what he does. He takes an innocent moment and converts it into a dark fairytale scene with his camera. It's just stupid coincidence, but the man sees them coming flawlessly

Personal work. Not as interesting as when he takes them unexpectedly but still lovely and 'pure' ^_^

ah, thanks perlefine. i'm addicted to those la-couture takes on defilees,... they make every collection seem so romantic.
it's as if the models were children playing theatre in the night

I can become frustrated with la-couture, and with Olivier, when I'm hoping to see more of the clothes. I wonder how he'd do to take his creative visions elsewhere.. They're beautiful photos though, and I'm sure I'll love them, just right after I warm up to the idea of runway photography as art.. :p

these images are amazing! i agree that the backstage shots seem to have more "life" to them (or more just an air of je ne sais quoi ;)) but there are a few of his personal works that i love, namely the first shot in post #6. or is that a backstage shot? either way, these works are beautiful.

thanks perl

i like these a lot! definitely not the typical backstage shots from style.com
much more dramatic elements than the usual snapshot and super-posed feeling of other pics

I like these, but then again there's something I'm not sure about. One thing I'm sure about is that I love the clothes.

Thanks for posting :flower:

he´s pretty fantastic, i´ve been following his work for la couture for a couple of years now and he´s a master at turning the most random shots into extremely poetic photography. ^_^

I love the style and the way he works with light...so special...

i love the way that satin-y fabric looks in the light of that photograph... really beautiful and so much depth there... it almost looks like the shading of a charcoal drawing... and i mean that in a very good way ;)

OMG I love this, why have I never seen this thread before. I have always loved those first two pics posted.
thanks.

also love the mariacarla ones
