In Serbian there is no Y but there is a J, which is pronounced as a Y anyway so they just spell it Olya so it will not be mispronounced.

yes, but in serbian (which i speak) "lj" is a letter in the alphabet itself, and it is not pronounced the same way if you just combine the l and y together in the english alphabet.
