Opinions on the latest trend of boots...turn-over tops?

In what eBay sellers refer to as the "pirate style", these boots are everywhere it seems. I dropped into Newcastle for about 10mins to snap a couple of pics of the cinema all lit up at night (which didn't come out because I hadn't charged up my camera properly before I left ), and I must have seen at least a dozen or more of these boot styles.

Personally I kind of like them although there are many different types. Some zip up the back while most seem to be pull-ons; stilleto and chunky heel versions also....

So what do you lot think?

I have quite a collection of "pirate boots", I have been obsessed with vintage pairs for quite some time - I love them, really basically the only style boot I wear - it's very 'me'
