Yet another reason to jump ship and set up shop in the UK... like health care problems & Bush weren't enough, eh?
 
I saw the play yesterday and have to say Orlando is just ridiculously, embarrassingly good looking in real life...he came out afterwards (out the stage door) and was lovely, chatting away and signing stuff. He literally stopped traffic though; the whole street was blocked up with people trying to get to him!
 
Urgh I know! We had enough trouble trying to get out and the car was waiting just outside the theatre! People had even come out from the restaurant opposite to watch him!

Well, the character he was playing was supposed to be very quiet and repressed so Orlando wasn't that expressive or leaping about the stage or anything...all the acting was excellent, but Orlando's northern accent (it was et in 1960's north England) was a wee bit dodgy...on the plus side he managed to produce tears in a scene which required it...I was impressed (and also want to comfort the poor boy...yes I am a pathetic Orlando fan!)
 
I thought he did very well and he impressed me with being able to keep up with actors who had so much more theatre experience than he has! I agree that his accent slipped occasionally and at some points he looked a little awkward on stage but other than that he did brilliantly, especially considering this is his west end début!

Oh and his crying scene on the sofa was excellent!
 
I didn't even notice until papa_levante pointed out that my next post would my 1000th post!!!! So I wanted my 1000th to be in the thread that made me sign up here in the first.

The press reviews started tonight so we should get to read them soon. I have my fingers crossed that they are kind to him.
 
And I thought the one of him with the yellow roses was his cutest candid ever. I completely forgot the puppy angle! Actung!

Seriously... adorable. Love how he always stops to sign autographs even though he must be knackered from performing every night. :heart:
 
I didn't think we would see that many pics of him while he was doing the play but in fact I think we are seeing more than usual - the paps are snapping him every night as he is leaving.

Dinner date ... Orlando Bloom arriving at Scott's Restaurant with actress Naomie Harris. After leaving the theatre alone, he reportedly drove round the back and waved Naomie into the car
