OUT May 2015: Olivier Rousteing by Pierre et Gilles

I'm soo happy for the success and fame Olivier is attracting to himself and the Balmain brand.
There must of been an enormous amount of pressure and high expectations for him to do well...Especially for the first man of mixed-raced(man of colour) of such a prestigious Brand such as Balmain.

I wonder what the sales are like at the Brand since he took over?
Anyone have stats on how the Brand is holding up?

Beautiful! He's beautiful. The picture is so gaudy & glitzy just like the house he designs for.I really like this.

Indeed. His image fits perfectly with the clothes he designs. And I'll leave it at that...

As for Balmain sales, they did just open a London flagship which is pretty darn impressive. I'd still be so interested to know the figures though; the clothes are so expensive and extreme, and the brand only recently got into accessories.

This is incredible, lovely cover. Out magazine be having great covers lately, wonderful Olivier is apart of that.

Meh. I know he's good, but I would get the hype if he were seated in Balmain just now.

As for the cover. I hate the frame overdose. It's such an eyesore. I know it was used to make the cover look rich and regal, but it ended up looking tacky. It's like he's in a high end circus. I also hate how they seemed to have played with the lights to contour and highlight parts of his face but the end result just made the cover look dark.

The Gold Frame is the only thing that would make this cover stand out on the newsstands.

Oh God, I really loathe this age of the 'star designer'. This guy is becoming as frequently photographed and insufferable as his 'bestie' Kim K. Of course the cover is excessively tacky - all that gold?? *blergh!*

Excessively tacky is pierre and gilles' thing though. I like the cover but that's because i usually like their work. And i think the tackiness is very fitting considering the clothes he designs... :innocent:

this cover is so him, so narcissist and tacky like his collections and the people he like to dress

i love him but is this computer generated or an actual photo ?

He really needs to focus more on his designs and less on practicing his duckface in photos. Put it away boy.

Ease on the photoshop per sei. Horrible cover, looks like he's having an allergic reaction.

love him and glad to see him on the cover, but that cover doesn't do it for me.

"Comments on my Instagram are more important than what critics say" he says. This statement represents everything that is wrong with fashion right now! And I haven't even started on the article yet.
