Chanel vs Balmain Spring Summer 2019
+ Fall 2005 Boots
Olivier has been trying to grab that Chanel spot since forever so yeah, not surprising at all. He will eventually get it.
Devil's in the details and I much prefer the lapels on the original jacket and that emblem looks like it belongs to a dance academy. The boots on the other hand are too boxy and the contrast part is too wide.
Olivier? at Chanel?
I don't see it. He's still coasting off of dress patterns, denim, and jackets from Decarnin era. I've yet to see any accessories of note from him, which you need if you're going to Chanel.
Olivier has been so vocal about his love for Karl and Coco that i’m Not surprised. Being invited at those Couture and Métiers D’Arts was surely too tempting ahaha
Olivier is heavy handed and it shows. It looks so boxy and uncomfortable.
Balmain's jacket also reminded of this from Dior's Pret-a-porter 1997-98 by John Galliano.

great find, it's so predictable what sources all these design studios are using nowadays
Prada / Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2019
Gucci early 1980s / Dior Fall 2000
Those Louis Vuitton shoes are so tacky. They look like counterfeits.
Herbert Levine 1953 / Alexander Wang Spring 2018
LMAO. Looks more like No21 who copied Balenciaga. Gross.
Speaking about Triple S. Hugo by Hugo Boss just showed their S/S 2019 collection and their sneakers looks A LOT like Balenciaga Triple S, imo.

Who’s not trying to copy Balenciaga’s Triple S?
That’s the real deal nowadays
What does the Triple S stand for, anyways? Squat, squattier, and squattiest?
