^ Wish I had stopped right there too! I just sobbed when he takes her to craigh na dun at the end of the season I had to keep watching . Once they're reunited after 20 years I thought ok, now settle down in Lallybroch and be happy, with whatever occasional drama post-Culloden Scotland may offer, but NO, next thing you know they're on a filthy ship heading to Jamaica!
I'm curious about what type of reading this is. I'll probably look it up later. I haven't read about Jamie but I can imagine the description sounds better.. when he first meets Claire and she's taken to the castle, I seriously thought 'ok, now she'll meet the co-star'.. then I realised 'oh wait, HE is the co-star' lol.. his presence is definitely not the disarming kind and he seems extra buff for his time haha, but at this point I accept and even buy how brute-ish he is.
